Sky Sports will broadcast exclusively live coverage of the inaugural A1 Grand Prix this weekend from Brands Hatch.

The brand-new FIA sanctioned 'World Cup of Motorsport' pits 25 countries against one another in identical racing cars in the first of 12 races across the world from now until April 2006.

The likes of Figo, Ronaldo and Nelson Mandela are backing their countries' efforts while John Surtees heads Team Great Britain.

Sky Sports' live coverage is presented by Georgie Thompson, with commentary from F1 legend John Watson and motorsport broadcaster Ben Edwards.  Alongside Georgie in the studio will be European Touring Car champion Andy Priaulx, with Keith Huewen and Sophie Aal reporting from the pits.
