Autocar Magazine Chooses Rockingham for Sideways Event - Autocar Sideways Challenge on Friday 21st October

Leading weekly car publication Autocar Magazine has chosen Rockingham in Northamptonshire as the venue for its annual Sideways Challenge event, which will feature a drift competition where readers of the magazine can compete against some the world’s best drivers.

Style is everything in the Sideways Challenge, and our four judges will be looking for a balanced car, lots of opposite lock, lots of skill and, of course, plenty of tyre smoke.

Every competitor entry includes full VIP hospitality, where you share lunch with a cast of race, rally and motorcycle stars, not to mention Autocar’s writers. With 20 places allocated to the professional star drivers, just 30 readers will get the chance to take to the track and booking is on a first come, first served basis.

If you don’t fancy drifting yourself, watching from the stands will be just as much fun. And we’ll be keeping you in touch with the track action with excellent commentary all throughout the day.

Entry for the Sideways Challenge competition is £75.  Spectators are also welcome with tickets at £12, with Children (under 16’s) receiving free entry.  All profits from the event are going to the BEN and WOMAC charitie,s so not only is this going to be a great day of automotive entertainment, it will also help two deserving causes.
