It will be a day of all-action racing when Spedeworth South hosts the Lightning Rods, Ministox, 2.0 Hot Rods and Rookie Rods at Bovingdon Raceway on Sunday October 2nd at 1.30pm.
The powerful non-contact 2.0 Hot Rods are always thrilling to watch at Bovingdon with bumper-to-bumper racing the order of the day.
There will be more non-contact racing action from the Rookie Rods. These budget racers are designed to let fans go racing for minimal outlay and their evenly matched engines, coupled with large grids make for very close racing action.
The Ministox will be racing in the close of their King Ed Series Grand Final, so fans can expect the car’s young (11-16 year old) pilots to really put their foot down as they wrestle their armoured Minis around the Hertfordshire circuit.
Rounding off the day’s festival of racing the all-action Lightning Rods will take to the track . The Sierra-based Lightning Rods always put on a good show at Bovingdon, where their sheer size and speed results in fender rubbing overtaking as the drivers push the cars to the limit to be first under the chequered flag.
With another value for money, four formula racing programme, free parking, and a great view of all the action from high-banked spectator areas, Bovingdon (situated off B4005 Bovingdon, Nr Hemel Hempstead, Herts, on the airfield complex) will provide more action packed racing when the green flag waves on October 2nd.
