The tyres used by Damien Faulkner to win round 17 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Silverstone on 18 September have been confirmed as fully complying with the championship's technical regulations.Following a protest made by another competitor, the wheels and tyres used on the Team Parker Racing car were examined under the control of an MSA official on Thursday (29 September). All results for the 2005 Carrera Cup will, as is customary, remain provisional until final technical compliance checks have been completed following this weekend's rounds 19 and 20 at Brands Hatch. After the second race on Sunday afternoon, two cars will be selected for further routine checks to be carried out by Porsche Motorsport.When the outcome of those checks is known, the final championship positions will be confirmed.
