The stylish Le Touquet resort in northern France will provide the backdrop for the next outing for the RS International backed Ford Fiesta S1600 as the programme heads into Europe for a round of the French Championship on the 8th and 9th of October.
The event, one of the most popular in the French calendar is contested over 240km of closed tarmac roads and will be hotly contested by 98 crews over the 2 days. Driver Justin Dale said of the event “I have competed here twice previously, but that was 10 years ago and this time we are planning to compete with the best of the French S1600 class. The roads are fast and challenging and the French crews may have the advantage of local knowledge but we are confident the Fiesta will surprise a few people”
The RS International car will be the only Ford entered in the rally and the team are expecting a lot of attention throughout the event. Team boss Paul Risbridger commented “We have received excellent cooperation from the Rallye Le Touquet organisers who were very keen to see the RMS run Fiesta out on their event. The car is proving a real crowd pleaser on the Stages as it looks and sounds spectacular and we are sure the other competitors will be very keen to see how it performs against the French Citroen and Renault opposition.”
This event is the final preparation as the team gears up for the last two European rounds of the World Rally Championship later in October. RS International Managing Director Paige Patel enthused “Le Touquet is the next step in our programme before we move into the World Championship and it provides our first opportunity to promote the company into mainland Europe”
