Jordan clinches Super Series title

Andrew Jordan clinched his first championship title of 2005 when he won the Super Series Junior Rallycross crown at the Blyton track in Lincolnshire on Sunday (3 October). With one round left to run, Andrew cannot now be caught for the title and the prestigious prize that awaits the champion. He has won a test drive in a Mitsubishi Evo 8 rally car with the leading ADR Motorsport team, which is an incredible prize for the 16-year old from Sutton Coldfield."Getting the chance to drive the Evo 8 rally car is a fantastic prize. That's the thing we really wanted to win when we started the Super Series campaign," said Andrew. The state-of-the-art rally car is a four-wheel drive, turbocharged machine and will be a big step up from the Mini that Andrew currently races. At Blyton, Andrew won both his heats to ensure he started the final from pole position. Although he only needed to finish fifth in the final to win the title, he was going for victory when he was caught up in an accident at the first corner. The race was stopped and, although Andrew was able to drive back to the grid for the re-start, the steering on his car had been knocked out of line.Undeterred, he went into the re-run of the final with an ill-handling car and finished a fighting second, crossing the line right behind the leader to settle the championship.

Andrew Jordan is supported by John Guest, Team Dynamics, Bill Gwynne Rally School and Pirtek.
