Dennis Misuraca Victorious at Ocala Speedway!

Dennis Misuraca from Sanford Florida driving the Sparkle Brite Pools "Sanford Missile" # 3d was in fine form this past Saturday night as he easily outdistanced the field to record his 2nd Win of the USA Sprints Southern Thunder Tour at Ocala Speedway. Sean Namor and Misuraca took the green from starter Bud Howell as the cars rocketed off of turn four. Immediately Misuraca got the jump and started to assert the beautiful # 3d ahead of the pack as Namor, Dakota Stevens and RC Roper were in hot pursuit.

As "The D-Man" stretched his lead there were battles back in the pack as Rookie standout Dakota Stevens # 79, Sean Namor # 10n, RC Roper # 92 and Top Rookie contender Michael "Bones" Smith # 9 were all under a blanket the first stages of the 30 lap feature. Tim George # 1 who was relegated to using his backup Sprinter was struggling with an ill handling machine but holding his own. George was still sore from a violent flip the week before at East Bay Raceway Park. Veteran racer Mike "10-4" Love # 7 was just out of the top five but driving a very consistent race in his first USA Pavement competition.

The USA Sprints racers were caught with many interesting challenges as the tough and tricky "Roadcala" race- track provided the racers and fans with very high speeds for the dirt sprintcars on pavement. This race was not the most competitive USA race we’ve seen this year, however it did provide some invaluable experience for both veterans and rookies alike. Passing was at a premium and not a commodity because of the high speeds. RC Roper worked hard to get by the # 10n of Sean Namor as did Dakota Stevens who just barely squeaked by on the last lap at the flag to claim 2nd and 3rd places.

The "D-Man" Dennis Misuraca # 3d was very deserving of the Victory with a excellently prepared race car and top notch driving too! This was Team Misuraca’s first Victory in USA Sprints competition on the racetrack. In Victory lane Dennis commented "his win was very pleasing as he and his Dad worked very hard to make this dream come true". The rundown was Misuraca # 3d, RC Roper # 92, Dakota "Young Gun Stevens # 79, Sean "Zippy" Namor # 10n and Tim George # 1. George was followed by Mike "10-4" Love in the # 7, Michael "Bones" Smith # 9, Geoff "G-Man" Styner # 15jr and TW Parkinson # 04.

The next USA Sprints event will be this weekend in Fort Myers at the Lee County Sports Complex called the Motorfest 2005. This is a multi-faceted Motorsports exhibition including Monster Trucks, Mud Racing Trucks, Truck Pulling, Motorcycle daredevil exhibitions and much much more. The USA Sprints are scheduled to provide a demonstration on Saturday and Sunday
