Superstox action at Wimbledon

Spedeworth South brings the all-action Superstox to Wimbledon Stadium to contest the Howard Cole Memorial Trophy on Sunday October 9th at 5pm.

The Superstox always provide a great night’s racing at Plough Lane, where their blend of high-powered racing, coupled with aggressive use of the front bumpers to move opponents out of the way, delights the fans. With a grid full of star drivers determined to win the memorial trophy, the racing is guaranteed to be intense from the second the green flag waves.

There will be more metal bending action when the Rookie Bangers take to the track. Knackered suspensions, tyres and engines mean that these MOT failures are hardly in the same league as the race-tuned Superstox, but they still manage to get around Plough Lane at a fair pace, although most end the night as smoking wrecks long before the chequered flag falls.

The Stock Rods round off what promises to be a great night’s racing. Designed to offer race fans, who lack a F1 sized budget, the chance to join the action the budget priced racers always field a large grid of cars. While the drivers may not spend as much on their cars as the other Hot Rod formulas this does not affect the action on the night as the evenly matched 1300-1400cc machines power around Plough Lane.

With three formulas in action and the Howard Cole Memorial Trophy race for the Superstox, Spedeworth South delivers another action-packed value for money night’s racing at Wimbledon Stadium, Britain’s finest stock car racing circuit.
