If you have had enough of the antics of ‘White Van Man’ cutting you up on the local roundabout, or double parking on the High Street blocking the traffic, Spedeworth South will give you the chance for revenge as the Banger pilots take Transit vans to pieces in the Big Van Banger meeting at 1.30pm on October 16th at Bovingdon Raceway.
The Vans will be driven to total destruction with scant regard for the rules of the road as the drivers attempt to wrestle their poorly handling commercial vehicles around the track, while wiping out the opposition and grimly attempting to keep their own vehicle in one piece long enough to finish the race – so a bit like White Van Man on his local delivery run, but a lot more fun.
Hertfordshire scrap yards will be full to the brim on Monday, as the Rookie Bangers rev up for their Bovingdon Track Championship Final. With it all to play for, and plenty of scores to be settled from a bruising season, the action will be fast and furious as the ‘light contact’ Rookie Bangers go all out to secure the coveted Track Championship title and silverware.
Fans of non-contact racing will be catered for with the ever-popular Rookie Rods. These budget racers have been a great success for Spedeworth in getting fans off the terraces and behind the wheel. Large grids and close racing are the order of the day and none more so than as the Rookies pile it on in their final outing at the famous Herts racing circuit.
With three great formulas in action, the chance to see your dreams come true in dealing with White Van Man, free parking, and a great view of all the action from high-banked spectator areas, Bovingdon (situated off B4005 Bovingdon, Nr Hemel Hempstead, Herts, on the airfield complex) will provide a ‘vantastic’ day’s racing when the green flag waves for the last time in 2005 on October 16th.
