3 Stock Car Championships at Wimbledon

Spedeworth South proudly hosts three championship races for the Stock Cars, Lightning Rods and Ministox at Wimbledon Stadium on Sunday, October 23rd at 5pm.

The hugely entertaining Stock Cars will be in action chasing their European Championship. These armoured machines provide full contact action in every race they contest and with the prestigious European title up for grabs spectators can expect to see the sparks fly as the bumpers go in with a vengeance at Plough Lane.

More full-throttle action is on the cards when the Lightning Rods take to the circuit to fight it out for their London Championship. The Ford Sierra based Lightning Rods are officially a non-contact formula, but their size and power, coupled with drivers who are reluctant to lift the right foot off the gas, more often than not results in plenty of automotive carnage.

The Ministox (piloted by their young 11-16 year old) drivers round off the title races as the stars of the future go all out to add the London Championship to their CVs.

Adding to what promises to be another night of action-packed racing, the thundering 2.0-Litre Stock Cars will make a special guest appearance at Plough Lane. The 2.0 litres don’t appear to often at Wimbledon, but when they do they are guaranteed to deliver a memorable night’s racing that will test the safety fence to the full!

With four formulas in action, plus the chance to see no less than three titles decided, Spedeworth South delivers another great night’s racing for all the family at Wimbledon Stadium, Britain’s finest stock car racing circuit.
