Jon Ingram Bulldog Preview

INGRAM IS FOCUS-ED ON RETURNJon Ingram will be re-united with his Ford Focus World Rally Car for the first time since his accident in the car on the second round of the Kwik-Fit Pirelli British Rally Championship, the Pirelli International Rally. The rapid driver will contest the Bulldog Rally on Saturday 22nd October in preparation for a full assault on the National Gravel Championship in 2006 and is looking forward to see how he measures up against the regulars in the series.  The Altrincham rallyman will be partnered by Ian Allsop for the Mid Wales based final round of the series. Ingram, who has used two different hire cars over the last few rallies, another Focus and the SGP Motorsport Hyundai, will test the car ahead of the rally to familiarise himself again in his competitive surroundings and will also reward on lucky passenger as a result of a generous donation to the Air Ambulance. "It will be the first event in car since the major off on Pirelli, the car looks to nice to rally after complete bare shell rebuild. We will be doing test day at Innovations Motorsports forest and we will be able to finally give a very patient auction winners a ride in the car and as a bonus, they also get a chance to drive the rallyschool Peugeot's and Subaru." As for the outlook on the rally itself, Ingram commented,"It will be interesting to see how far we will be behind regular National Gravel Championship contender's for next year's entry into the championship. Although having not used the car for a while, we will probably be a little cautious as I don't want to and cannot afford to put the car off again."Following the Bulldog Rally, Ingram will end the year by contesting both the Cambrian and Grizedale rallies.Starting from Oswestry, the Bulldog Rally gets underway at 08.30am on Saturday before completing seventy-three gruelling miles through seven demanding stages in some classic mid Wales forests. Competitors are due back in Oswestry at around 4.30pm.
