* Largest gathering of Enzo Ferrari cars at the Ferrari World Finals * Ferrari GB sends seven Enzo Ferraris to participate in on-track activities * Each car featured Union Flag to identify the UK contingent * Ferrari World Finals included finals of the Ferrari 360 Challenge Trofeo Pirelli * Peter Sowerby confirmed as Coppa Shell Champion 2005 The Mugello International Circuit (Florence, Italy) hosted the Ferrari World Finals, the traditional event that closed the Prancing Horse's sports season, from Wednesday 19 to Sunday 23 October. Events included the final rounds of the season for the Italian, European and American Ferrari 360 Challenge Pirelli Trophy series, along with the usual final race to decide the outright champion on a world level. It also marked the unveiling of the new F430 Challenge, which will be used in the Ferrari one-make series as from next year. Also on the Tuscan track was the 2005 grand finale for the Shell Ferrari Maserati Historic Challenge, also open to the historic cars from the Trident marque. Completing the busy programme was an exhibition of the single-seaters prepared by the F1 Clienti department at Maranello and a demonstration from Scuderia Ferrari providing the highpoint of the final day. To support the World Finals, Ferrari invited Enzo customers to bring their cars to Mugello for the world's largest gathering of Enzo Ferraris, with 50 cars on track on both Saturday and Sunday.
Ferrari GB invited seven Enzo customers to participate in the weekend's events, with the cars being prepared by Ferrari GB technicians prior to being transported to Italy. Each car also had a Union Flag applied to the roof of the car to clearly identify the UK contingent. The UK Enzo Ferraris also sported Fiorano Ferrari branding on the side of the cars to showcase the new marketing programme recently launched by Ferrari GB for Ferrari customers. Massimo Fedeli, Managing Director for Ferrari GB, commented, "The Ferrari World Finals is the culmination of a fantastic year for Ferrari in the UK, with another record year for sales, an impressive performance in the 360 Challenge in only our first year, and the launch of our new customer driving programme, Fiorano Ferrari. The seven Enzo Ferraris we have invited to the World Finals demonstrate our customers' passion and enthusiasm for Ferrari, and we are privileged to have been trusted with so many rare and valuable cars."
Fiorano Ferrari is a new programme of exclusive events for Ferrari customers, with access to a range of driving and lifestyle activities which allow Ferrari customers unrivalled access to the inner world of Ferrari. Customers who purchase a new Ferrari in the UK (from January 2005 from a franchised dealer) automatically become members of Fiorano Ferrari and are invited to participate in a Performance Driving Experience - a complimentary half-day driving programme which takes place regularly at some of the UK's leading motor racing circuits. Members can also upgrade their membership to 'Corse' level, which takes the Ferrari ownership and driving experience to the ultimate level. Fiorano Ferrari Corse members receive their own personalised racing overalls, helmet, racing boots and driver's log to keep a record of their Fiorano Ferrari driving tuition. Corse membership is also available to all existing Ferrari owners. Fiorano Ferrari Corse members have access to the only official fleet of Ferrari F430 and competition-specification Ferrari 360 Challenge cars available outside of Italy, for exclusive driving activities at world-class racing circuits.
