The World Series by Renault Organising Committee has completed pre-selection of the teams that will be invited to take part in the 2006 World Series Formula Renault 3.5 championship.
The Organising Committee consists of Jean-Paul Mari (Motor Sport and Communications Director, Renault Sport), François Sicard (Circuit Racing Manager, Renault Sport), Jaime Alguersuari (President, RPM Racing) and Jordi Castells (Motorsport Director, RPM Racing).
The Committee reviewed 20 pre-registration requests for the 15 available places. The list of the 15 pre-selected teams is as follows (in alphabetical order):

The second phase involves the pre-selected teams signing a participation agreement. Those teams on the waiting list may take part in this second phase, should any of the pre-selected teams drop out. The final list of teams participating in 2006 will be issued in the second half of November. The name of the fifteenth team shall be revealed at the same time.
