Euro GT Series 2006 is reality

Euro GT Series puts the pedal to the floor to start the 2006 season with its partner SwissRacing Motorsport.

The organizers of the Euro GT Series, Anja and Hein Hartman, will set up a new and high-level racing series in cooperation with SwissRacing Motorsport.

Team Director Pierre von Mentlen has searched for a high quality racing platform for V8STAR and GT cars of his own and several other teams for a long time. He found himself very welcome at the organization of the Euro GT Series which was a home for the European GT elite until 2003.  Pierre sees a huge potential saying: "The interest of the teams is enormous already now. Together with the Dutch organization we can count on 20 to 25 race cars which is a guarantee for exciting races." Seven race events have been planned in Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, the UK, and France.

The event concept with many highlights on and off the track developed by Swissracing Motorsport in 2005 will make the Euro GT Series to one of the most attractive race events in Europe. "We will continue to develop our successful concept whatever it takes. Also in the Euro GT Series we will offer a Power Program with shows, entertainment, and hospitality", predicts Pierre von Mentlen.

„We are very happy that we have found a partner in SwissRacing Motorsport, who wants to reach challenging goals together with us“ says Anja Hartman, the  organizer of the Euro GT Series.

The Series including the technical and sporting regulations and the calendar will be presented on February 4 in Wegberg close to Düsseldorf in Germany.
