MAC Tools move on

FROM FORMULA ONE TO SUPERBIKES, MOTOGP, WRC AND MORE!

Mac Tools has confirmed that it has decided not to renew its relationship with the Formula One team, Honda F1 Racing.  The two organisations enjoyed a successful partnership for the past three years.  Instead, Mac Tools will concentrate on the exciting British SuperBike and MotoGP series with the works Suzuki teams, the spectacular World Rally Championship with the official Ford team and developing further relationships which will be announced shortly.

Adrian O’Nion, Mac Tools’ Business Unit Director said:  “Since 2003, the partnership between Mac Tools and the Honda F1 Racing team has been very successful and we have achieved all the marketing and business objectives which were set at the beginning of the programme. We reviewed our marketing strategy within Formula One at the end of 2005, where we agreed that Mac Tools had realised all opportunities available to it.  Therefore, we have decided that Mac Tools will concentrate on developing its three existing partnerships (Rizla Suzuki in the British SuperBike Championship, Team Suzuki MotoGP and the works BP-Ford World Rally Team in the World Rally Championship) while finalising the remaining details of several new ventures which will be announced shortly.  We have enjoyed our relationship with Honda F1 Racing and everybody at Mac Tools wishes them the best of success for the coming season.”

The two Suzuki teams and the BP-Ford WRT will provide Mac Tools with exceptional marketing platforms and branding opportunities for the coming year.  O’Nion continued:  “I am very excited about our programmes with Suzuki and Ford.  They are an integral part of our marketing strategy, which began with Honda F1 Racing in 2003.  We are delighted with these partnerships to date – Rizla Suzuki tool boxes have been a major hit with our clients in 2005, for example.  We will continue to develop our relationships with both Suzuki and Ford and following the successes of 2005, more exclusive branded products will be launched throughout 2006.”

Mac Tools will also continue to develop new marketing opportunities during the course of the coming year.  Adrian O’Nion concluded:  “We are currently finalising the details of several innovative marketing initiatives with new partners and I am extremely excited by this.  Further announcements on these programmes are planned for the coming weeks.”
