2006 Autosport International

Autosport International is widely regarded as the premier motorsport exhibition in the world. Every form of automotive motorsport is represented, from the engineering innovations of Formula One, to the technology and durability of rallying, the closeness of touring cars and the incredible power of drag racing. The show also attracts all the major names from motorsport, including drivers from F1, WRC, BTCC and the DTM, as well as many celebrities including Motors TV’s Paul Musselle, who hosts the Live Action arena.

Detroit Motorshow

Held in the spiritual home of the Automotive Industry, the Detroit Motorshow is one of the most important international car shows of the year. Many manufacturers choose it to showcase their design and technological achievements. The Ford Shelby GT500, for example, the fastest production Mustang in History, or the stunning Hyundai Talus concept were present this year. The 2006 show also saw the return of the Lamborghini Muira concept, a modern interpretation of one of the most beautiful cars ever created. Motors TV went behind the scenes at the 2006 show, to look at the most interesting examples from ‘Motor City’.

AMA Supermoto Season Review

Now in its third season, the 2005 American Supermoto season looked to be the most exciting yet. The motorcycle equivalent of RallyCross sees slick-tyre’d Motocross-style racers competing on a surface made up of tarmac and gravel, with huge jumps and spectacular sliding action. 2003 champion Ben Bostrom returned from a sabbatical spent in superbikes while reigning champion Jeff Ward was keen to add a further trophy to his cabinet. Motors TV looks back at the complete season, with all the highs and lows of this exciting motorcycle racing.
