Porsche Promise at Rolex 24If the Daytona Test Days results are any indication, Porsche power could be the powerplant to have at this year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona.  Law will be driving the Red Bull Brumos Porsche powered Fabcar Daytona Prototype with teammates David Donohue and Sascha Maassen in the 44th running of this classic endurance contest, which takes the green flag at noon on January 27. Grand Sport Porsche PowerLaw will also be racing in the Grand-Am Cup 200 during the weekend of the Rolex 24, as he was tapped for a season long seat in the #50 Marcus Motorsports Porsche 997 Grand Sport car with teammate Brian Cunningham.   Marcus Motorsports will also be fielding a second car with drivers Andy Lally and Spencer Pumpelly.Porsche Cup Points Progression  The coveted Porsche Cup, a worldwide competition to gain the greatest number of points for wins in Porsche powered race cars campaigned in professional series, has opened the rules to accept new classes of cars.  Points earned in the Rolex Grand American Daytona Prototype class now count toward the sought after Porsche Cup, and the apparent resurgence of competitiveness from the Brumos Porsche Fabcar could bode well for Law’s potential Porsche Cup fortunes.
