Despite rumours saying the contrary, Luca Filippi has finally signed a two season deal with FMS international."It has been a long negotiation because we wanted Luca to stay with our GP2 Team for two years and we had to agree on all points of a long term contract" said Giancarlo Fisichella.Filippi had no doubts on what he wanted : "I have always said that I wanted to race with FMS International, because the greatest achievementsof my career have come whilst driving for Fisichella Motor Sport in F.3000. They've always kept me up-dated: from the arrival of the two F1 engineers to the latest news on sponsors, all of them very important elements for me to consider when joining a team for two consecutive years"."Luca has shown that he deserves to be our Team leader " said Paolo Coloni, joint team principal of FMS International alongside Enrico Zanarini who said: "Filippi has been a pleasant surprise for us in F.3000. Now we will give him a GP2 car to keep on winning".FMS International will announce the second driver, livery and sponsors on February 14, 2006.
