Dunlop has announced the addition of Pembrey to the 2006 Great and British Festivals calendar.

The popular circuit near Llanelli hosted BTCC and Formula Three events throughout the 1990’s.

“We are delighted to have Pembrey on the inaugural Great and British calendar. You cannot call an event Great and British without venturing outside of England. Pembrey’s location, within an hours drive of Cardiff, Newport and Swansea makes it highly promotable and we look forward to staging a great event for spectators” stated Dunlop’s James Bailey.

The Dunlop Great and British Festivals feature non-stop action from Britain’s top one make racing championships. The Mini Challenge,(for the latest Mini Cooper), the Ginetta Junior sportscar series and the Radical Enduro and BiDuro championships for Le Mans style sports prototypes are renowned for producing thrilling racing.

Uniquely, members of the public can book to drive their own cars on the circuit during the race weekend following Dunlop’s partnership with evoactive track days.The Pembrey event will replace the proposed event at Rockingham, Northants and completes the nine round calendar which includes other top British circuits including Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Donington, as well as a guest appearance at the famous Belgian Grand Prix circuit at Spa-Francorchamps
