Team Parker Racing with SAS has launched its 2006 Porsche Carrera Cup campaign and is determined to retain both the driver and team titles it won in 2005.The team will head into the new season with the same driver line-up of Damien Faulkner and Jason Templeman along with continued backing from SAS International. In 2005, Faulkner won the title, with Templeman finishing third and the team also took the teams' title."The only way we can improve on last year's results is to get one-two in the drivers' title this year, and that's the goal," says team boss Stuart Parker. "We want to retain the teams' title and hopefully raise our profile even further."The team will shortly take delivery of its new 997-model 911GT3 Cup cars. "We can't wait to get our hands on the new cars and we'll start testing as soon as possible," says Parker. "Last year, the whole deal came together quite late and we were playing catch-up when the season started. This year, we all know each other and the driver line-up and staffing is all the same, so all the relationships are there."Both Faulkner and Templeman are expected to be leading contenders for the 2006 title. "We've got a fantastic driver line-up," concludes Parker.
