Start your engines and get ready for the countdown to Cannonball Run Europe 2006. Organisers of the legendary European road rally are pleased to announce that after seven hugely successful events from the UK, they are organising an event primarily for European entrants. The event will start at the Thermae Palace in Ostende on September 3rd 2006.
Bringing petrol heads together from across Europe and from all walks of life, the Cannonball Run Europe is described as the ultimate party on the move. The event inspired by the 1981 film of the same name, will see 75 cars travel around 4000kms across Europe in just six days. The final route will be kept a closely guarded secret and only at each checkpoint will the next destination be revealed to each unsuspecting Cannonballer.
But make no mistake, an unforgettable adventure is guaranteed to be had by all who rise to the challenge. An adventure that will include challenging roads, breath-taking scenery, first class hotels, fine dining and fast and furious partying. Cannonball Run Europe 2006 will be without a shadow of a doubt the drive of your life.
Cannonball Run Europe is a timed event and therefore classed as a rally not a race. The winner is the vehicle that completes the course closest to an average speed of 61 mph and not the first across the finishing line.

The start of Cannonball Run Europe 2006 will take place mid-afternoon on September 3rd and when that chequered flag is dropped, 75 vehicles will leave The Thermae Palace for their secret destination.
The entry fee into Cannonball Run Europe 2006 is 6600 euros for one car and two drivers, this includes hotel accommodation at each destination, breakfast and all evening meals, selected lunches, a cold beer on arrival, a track day and the Final Night Awards Ceremony.
