Tim Sugden will be the guest driver at the major pre-season test day for the 2006 Porsche Carrera Cup. Sugden will be on hand at Silverstone on Monday 13 March to drive the Vertu-backed VIP car throughout the day, including giving passenger rides to selected members of the media.Sugden was the winner of the coveted Porsche Cup at the end of the 2005 season. The international award is presented annually to the most successful private Porsche driver and the Yorkshireman became only the second British driver to win the award since it was inaugurated in 1970.At Silverstone he will drive the stunning new 997-model 911GT3 Cup car for Porsche Cars GB as teams and drivers have a full day of testing in their new cars. This important group test will offer the first indications for the 2006 title contest as most leading contenders are expected to take part in the test.
