The commitment of the Danish pilot Kurt Thiim to drive its V8STAR in the Euro GT Series makes Swissracing Motorsport one of the favorites in the EGT2 Class.

 “Kurt Thiim is one of the most experienced race drivers and he is very popular among the motorsport fans. It is a pleasure that we are able to put a V8STAR at his disposal and we aim for a top ranking in the EGT2 Class. I can also imagine that Kurt might be active outside EGT2” says the obviously proud team principal von Mentlen.

Kurt Thiim has more than 30 years of race experience. At the age of 15 he competed in his first go-kart race, was successful in Formula racing,and stepped up to the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM). The now 47 year old was also very fast in the V8STAR during 2001 – 2003. The Dane, who lives in Luxemburg now, has an endless list of victories behind his name.

One of the greatest names in motorsport will put Swissracing Motorsport in a favourable position at the relaunch of the Euro GT Series.
