One of the stars of GP2’s 2005 Championship, Adam Carroll, is teaming up withlegendary F1 designer and engineer, Gary Anderson, as he joins Spanish outfitRacing Engineering.
Team principal, Alfonso de Orleans-Borbon announcedCarroll’s addition to the Racing Engineering team Thursday February 16th.“What can I say, I think that with Adam and Gary we will have one of the strongestdriver-engineer pairings in the championship. Adam has been a driver whom wehave always wanted to work with, while Gary is a great addition to our engineeringteam. I would also like to thank Repsol and Telefonica for allowing all this to cometogether and make us the team we are today. They have a firm belief that we will bedoing a good job.” stated Team principal Alfonso de Orleans-Borbon.
Adam enjoyed a very successful first season in GP2 in 2005, winning three races inImola, Monaco and Spa Francorchamps, with a further three podium finishes. Inaddition to competing in GP2, Adam also tested for the BAR Honda F1 team in2005.
Gary Anderson’s illustrious career in motorsport spans over 30 years, starting out atthe age of 20 at the Motor Racing Stables in Brands Hatch. A mechanic, engineerand then technical director of Jordan, Stewart and Jaguar shows the ambition hehad for his career. Anderson designed the first Jordan F1 car Michael Schumacherever drove. Recently Anderson has been sharing his technical insight with F1 fansas part of the Setanta Sports commentary team and will continue to do this during2006.

Adam will drive for Racing Engineering alongside the 18 year-old Spaniard, JavierVilla, who is embarking on his first season in GP2.
