Official Test GP2 Series day two - Team Report

Temperature from 9°C in the morning – 10.5°C in the afternoon. Dry weather.

            A positive day thanks to the excellent third place achieved by Andreas Zuber at the end of the afternoon session. Gimmi Bruni unfortunately couldn’t deliver his best performance because of an engine failure. So, thanks to a good performance delivered by the team, this first test session can be considered successfully accomplished.

            “The day started quite well and I finished the morning session in sixth position. Not bad considering we are just a rookie team. For the afternoon we decided to try different set-up solutions and everything was progressing smoothly when, very unfortunately, my engine failed. I can’t deny my disappointment because, without this failure, I’m sure I could deliver a good result. On the other hand I’m happy because the team is giving me a very good car”.

            “Yesterday was an emotion day , today is satisfaction. I’m obviously pleased with my final third place but I’m happy because of the way I achieved it. I mean that this third place is not the result of a shot in the dark but it’s a real team effort. I strongly believe this is a key factor for a successful season. I and and everyone at Trident Racing know that it will be hard so we will not lack of concentration and effort for the future. But now I want to enjoy the moment!”.
