Women drivers will now have their chance to prove that they can beat the men at their own game thanks to the Silverstone Rally School's 'Lady- Quest'. This unique experience is now in its 13th year and has become more popular than ever.
Silverstone Rally School (silverstonerally.co.uk) was one of the first companies to champion women drivers. This year the school is looking to select a lady driver with no previous motorsport experience to compete in selected rallying events throughout the season.
With the support of a qualified co-driver/navigator and backed by a full team of mechanics, the lucky lady will be able to enjoy powering through the rally's special stages in a fully prepared MG ZR car as part of a £35,000 sponsorship package. - Now that should lay to rest for one and for all just who the best driver in the household is.
The Silverstone Rally School 'Lady-Quest' is specifically for ladies with no previous experience in motorsport and the only requirements are a full valid driving licence and the completion of the company's assessment course. For those ladies who think they have the 'X-factor' when it comes to driving, this is an opportunity too good to miss.
The assessment course entails participating in the company's full day 'Clubmans' course. Applicants will receive an intensive training day teaching the practical techniques used by rally drivers. Qualified and highly skilled rally drivers of international status and holders of MSA licences will give full coaching. The cost of the full day is a one off payment of £255.
Silverstone Rally School will invite back the 10 highest scoring ladies to take part in a Grand final from which the winning lady for the season will be selected. She will receive from the company free of charge:
