Bangers battle for London Championship

Spedeworth South  will provide a night of fender bending racing and wrecking when the Bangers take to the track to fight it out for the London Championship on Sunday March 5th at 5pm.

The Bangers always provide plenty of spectacular crashes, rollovers and general automotive mayhem when they appear at Plough Lane and with the chance to win the London Champion title it is a fair bet that the drivers will be intent on pushing their clapped out saloons and estates just that little bit harder than usual on the night. This is bad news for the cars, but great news for the spectators as car after car is reduced to scrap metal in spectacular fashion.

Moving away from the metal bashing Bangers, the non-contact Stock Rods will also be in action. The 1300-1400cc Stock Rods are built to strict specification and budget rules, allowing fans to climb behind the wheel without having to place their bank balance in danger of meltdown. As a result, their evenly matched performance provides some extremely close racing action. The Stock Rods will be racing in Round 1 of the Ace Race Engines and George Polley Motorsport Tyres series.

To complete a night of racing action the Ministox will be in action in Round 3 of the Felsham Garage Challenge. The young (11-16 year old drivers) will be keen to continue racking up the points in the challenge as well as sharpen the skills needed for a successful career in oval racing. The end result for the fans on the terraces is some great racing and the chance to see the stars of tomorrow in action.

With three great   formulas in action and the Bangers’ London Championship to be decided, Spedeworth offers another great value for money night out at Wimbledon Stadium, Britain’s finest stock car racing circuit.
