DTM Hockenheim, Lausitzring
The DTM, the prestigious German Touring Car Championship, needs no introduction as the cream of Touring Car racing. Two manufacturers (Mercedes and Audi) and a juicy list of famous drivers, including Mika Häkkinen, Jean Alesi, Bernd Schneider, Tom Kristensen and Mattias Ekström, are enough reasons to follow the championship. Vanina Ickx, daughter of famous Le Mans star Jacky Ickx, will also be squaring up against the best in an Audi. This year, four of the ten rounds will take place outside Germany, including one at Brands Hatch and another at Le Mans. With exclusive live broadcasting rights, Motors TV promises a stunning show to include qualifying and the super pole session on Saturday, as well as full coverage from 15 minutes before the race start on Sunday. Hockenheim and Lausitz circuits are home to the first two races.
