Red Line launches Carrera Cup squad
Red Line Racing has unveiled a four-strong driver line-up for its 2006 Porsche Carrera Cup GB campaign.Heading the driving strength will be Richard Westbrook, racing with the support of Porsche Centre East London. He will be partnered by Nigel Rice, Jason Young and Maxi Jazz in the team headed by Simon Leonard. Westbrook will be a major contender for race wins, while Rice and Young are expected to be front-runners in the new professional-amateur category. Maxi, meanwhile, best known for his musical success with 'Faithless' is new to racing at this level and is returning to racing after several seasons out of the sport."We've already been testing with the new 997 and they are fantastic," reports Leonard, after testing at Donington Park last week.Leonard is eager to win back the coveted team title that Red Line Racing won in 2004. However, last year the title went to Team Parker Racing and there is great rivalry between the teams. "Stuart Parker and I are very good friends, but we're big rivals on the track," says Leonard.
