Jordan has successful test in France
Andrew Jordan travelled to France on Saturday (18 March) for a test session at the Mayenne circuit in readiness for his outing in the Citroen C2 Rallycross Championship there on 13/14 May.Jordan is contesting the opening round of the highly competitive French series alongside his British Rallycross Championship campaign. He will compete in a car prepared by former French champion Laurent Terroitin in the championship that regularly attracts 30 identical cars. The 16 year-old from Sutton Coldfield set very representative lap times as he got accustomed to the circuit, the car and left-hand drive for the first time. "The C2's got a nice feel to it and it works very well," said Andrew. "The Mayenne track is very technical and it's more twisty than most of the British tracks. It was definitely worth making the effort to get there!"Andrew and his father Mike travelled overnight after testing with Team Eurotech customers at Silverstone on Friday. They then travelled back overnight on Saturday. The French event will be Andrew's first competitive outing in mainland Europe and coincides with the opening round of the European Rallycross Championship. A crowd of between 30,000 and 40,000 is expected at the track, which is around an hour north of Le Mans.Andrew Jordan is supported by Shell, John Guest, Pirtek, Quaife Engineering and Bill Gwynne Rally School.
