Spedeworth South proudly presents the all-action National Bangers’ Figure of Eight 2006 Championship of the World at Wimbledon Stadium on, Sunday April 2rd at 5pm.

The 2006 Figure Eight World Final is an Unlimited, over 1800cc event, allowing the top drivers from around the country to field the biggest and most powerful machines they can find.  Fans can expect to see plenty of Jaguars, Ford Granadas, and Volvos taking to the track as well as some ‘heavy metal’ in the shape of limousines and the odd funeral hearse for good measure.

Whatever cars they are taking into battle the drivers’ skill and courage will be severely tested as the big Bangers race around the track and then cross each other’s paths in the middle of the circuit. Needless to say, the centre of the track soon resembles a scrap yard as cars pile into each other and are sent spinning crazily across the Plough Lane circuit.

The Stock Cars will also be in action on the night, providing more metal bashing racing as the drivers put their heavy front bumpers to good use in pursuit of the chequered flag.

With the World Figure of 8 championship up for grabs, plus all action support from the Stock Cars, Spedeworth South will deliver another great night’s racing action at Wimbledon Stadium, Britain’s finest stock car racing venue.
