Spedeworth South brings the ground-shaking V8 Stock Cars to Wimbledon Stadium at 5pm on April 16th to battle it out for the London Championship.
The V8 powered cars always deliver a great night’s racing action at Wimbledon, as the drivers open up the car’s massive American engines to their full and put the heavy front bumpers to good use. With the British Championship title up for grabs, fans can expect to see some really fast and furious racing from the top drivers in the V8 formula.
There will be more full-contact action when the Bangers take to the track and to the air in a special ramp roll over competition in which intrepid (or completely mad depending on your point of view) drivers roar around the Plough Lane circuit then run their car at full speed over a ramp on the home straight. The drivers can only enjoy their flight for a few seconds before the car returns to earth in spectacular fashion.
The full contact formulas will be joined by the non-contact Stock Rods. The entry level Budget Rods provide extremely close racing action at Plough Lane where large grids of evenly matched cars will be competing in Round 3 of the Ace Race Engine Challenge.
With three formulas in action, the jaw-dropping ramp rollover event, plus the chance to see the awesome V8 Stock Cars settle their 2006 London Championship, Spedeworth South delivers another great night’s racing for all the family at Wimbledon Stadium, Britain’s finest stock car racing circuit.
