The amazing German Touring Car Championship, the DTM, kicks off this month and Motors TV is showing the action live. The first round comes from the Hockenheim circuit, home of the German Grand Prix. Two manufacturers will be going head-to-head: Audi, with a pair of works teams and Mercedes, with three official teams. Two more privateer teams mean a field of 20 drivers, from 12 countries, will be starting the season in Germany, before rounds in the UK, Spain, Holland and France. Motors TV will be showing the qualifying live, as well as full race coverage live and uninterrupted.

Live For The Day

The British Touring Car Championship is another spectacular race series that begins in April and another that Motors TV will be showing live. Each race weekend features three BTCC races, the result of the first determining the grid for the second. The finishing order for the second sets the grid for the final race, but with the top ten reversed. So expect frantic action as the fastest drivers try to get back to the front of the pack. The first round comes from Brands Hatch and Motors TV will be showing the first and third race live, with the second delayed live. Also, Motors TV will show a total of nine support races live throughout the day, with a further two delayed live.

Live and Let Live

Another race series beginning in April, over the 8/9 weekend, is the Le Mans Series. This is a series of races, epitomising the spirit of the endurance classic, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Taking place at some of the most iconic circuits, all the races are over a 1000km distance, lasting in the region of three to four hours and feature the full compliment of categories you’d expect to find at La Sarthe; LMP1, LMP2, GT1 and GT2. The first round comes from the state-of-the-art circuit at Istanbul, built to host the Turkish Grand Prix and Motors TV will be showing the full race, delayed live.

The Kiss of Live

Barely allowing a pause for breath, Motors TV’s weekend of the best live racing action keeps on coming, with round seven of the NASCAR Busch Series, from the Texas Motor Speedway, outside Fort Worth. Everything in Texas is big and the same goes for the Motor Speedway – it’s a 1.5-mile quad-oval so the speeds, as well as the drama, are bound to be high. Kasey Khane won the 2005 event and recently, was runner-up in Atlanta, so he’ll be on a mission, as will series leader Kevin Harvick. Find out who takes the trophy home live on Motors TV.

Streets Ahead

The Champ Car World Series traditionally starts with a race around the streets of Long Beach, south of Los Angeles and this year is no exception. The turbocharged V8 single-seaters will again be blasting around the Californian streets in April. Reigning champion Sebastien Bourdais will be defending his title but in the mix this year will be British female driver, Katherine Legge, who moves up to the Champ Car class with the PKV Racing team, from the supporting Atlantics class. Motors TV shows highlights of the first round of the 2006 championship.
