Christmas came early for Champ Car World Series owner Kevin Kalkhoven at this year's Grand Prix of Long Beach with the presentation of a Panoz Esperante GTLM on Friday from Dr. Don Panoz, founder of the Panoz Motor Sports Group. The Panoz Esperante GTLM was presented by Scott Atherton, President and CEO of Panoz Motor Sports Group.

 The Panoz Motor Sports Group, located in Braselton, Ga., is one of the world's leading and most diverse motorsports corporations. It features entities such as Panoz Automotive Development, which builds the exotic, high-tech Esperante sports car and Elan Motorsports Technologies. EMT is a multi-faceted race car and engine building company comprised of Elan Composites, Elan Power Products, Elan Precision Products and Van Dieman.

Elan Motorsports Technologies recently was chosen by Champ Car to be its exclusive chassis provider beginning for the 2007 season.
