Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship
SEAT celebrated the arrival of its latest Leon-based race car by winning all threeopening rounds of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship staged atBrands Hatch last Sunday. Former double champ James Thompson (picturedright) marked his comeback to the series by winning the first two races; teammateJason recovered from a crash in the opening encounter to complete aclean-sweep for the Spanish manufacturer. Reigning champ Matt Neal startedhis title defence with two podiums but his day ended against the barriers after acontroversial clash with the Team RAC MG of Rob Collard.

MSA British Off Road Championship
Huge yumps and deep water splashes greeted the contestants of the first roundof the Matador MSA British Off Road Championship at Driffield, last weekend.Colin Gould (pictured right) in his first British Championship drive won thedramatic season opener in mixed weather conditions. Gould, who has boughttriple champion Richard Kershaw’s old Mattserati buggy took the final honours,by a mere seven seconds against seasoned campaigner Alec Lofthouse, thewinner of the final 2005 round.

Prima Motorsport MSA Asphalt Rally Championship
Tony Davies/Patrick Walsh (Subaru Impreza WRC) won the Vospers Tour ofCornwall at the weekend to move into the lead after two rounds. Second-placedpoints went to David Kynaston/Andy Russell in their Audi A3 Quattro, whileSteve Fleck (Impreza) finished just one second behind Davies on the stages, butthe imposition of a one-minute road penalty pushed him down to fourth in thefinal results. Former National Gravel Rally Champion Marcus Dodd hasregistered for the Asphalt series and was, indeed, leading until his HyundaiAccent WRC was forced into retirement with engine trouble.
