British GT Drivers Play The Game

RJN Motorsport has announced PlayStation®   as a main sponsor for its Nissan 350Z GT2 entry in the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy.

With support from PlayStation  combined  with  the  confirmed  driver  line  up  of  former  Indy  Racing League ace Darren Manning and fellow Brit Joe Tuckey, all eyes with be on the team  at  the  first  round  of  the  Championship  taking  place  at  Silverstone  on  6-7 May.

The PlayStation backed RJN Motorsport Nissan 350Z GT2 will go head to head with some the most powerful and fastest road cars of today.

A line up worth tens of  millions  of  pounds  will  be  competing  in  the  British  round  of  the  FIA  GT Championship,  which  will  be  the  main  attraction  of  the  Silverstone  Supercar Showdown weekend.  

David  Wilson,  head  of  PlayStation  Communications  commented,  “ The  Nissan 350Z proved a massive hit with fans of Gran Turismo 4 for PlayStation®  2, so the sponsorship of RJN Motorsport’s entry in the GT Championship was a perfect fit.” Wilson added, “ We’re very excited to be working closely with this all-British team, who share our enthusiasm and passion to succeed at the top end of motorsport.”

Darren  Cox,  Marketing  Programmes  Manager  for  Nissan  Europe  said,  “This  is great news, and will boost the team’s profile as it competes against the Porsche and  Ferrari  hordes.  The  extension  of  the  PlayStation-Nissan  partnership  to  the team  adds  to  the  recent  homologation  of  the  RJN 350Z GT-2 by NISMO which rubber stamped the team’s efforts competing successfully with privateer Nissan’s over the years.
