Young lion roars after Ford WR Team cash

Stefan Davis will be contesting the Pirelli National Rally this 14th May in his trusty old Peugeot 205 Scholarship car. For this rally Stefan has an added incentive. The Ford World Rally Team boss, Malcolm Wilson is offering a £2000 cash prize to any Peugeot that can beat his fastest Fiesta ST rally car through the Cumbrian British Rally Championship stages. In addition to this the Peugeot Scholarship organiser Kevin Furber has offered £1000 of his own cash to any of his Scholars that can achieve the mammoth task. That is a total of £3000 now up for grabs!!!

This is far from an easy task though. The new Fiesta is 15 years more advanced to the little Peugeot, and we all know how fast cars have moved. The task is virtually impossible but Young Lion Stefan Davis is attacking ferociously for the pride. “We are out of money and no one seems to want to, or be able help us at the moment, it’s a lonely place. It could be our last rally. If we can win this prize money we could keep going for most of the season, so I have to roar after it 150%. At least I can say I gave it my all!” said Stefan.

We wish the Young Lion the best of British luck for the Pirelli Rally - and maybe just maybe the heart of a lion can be enough and Stefan can get his paws on the cash!!!
