Quite an eventful qualifying - during the first session in the afternoon 'timing problems' and a Red Flag red herring caused confusion along the pit lane and out on the race track. Fisichella had his lap spoiled by Villeneuve and starts from 13th. Look at the back of the grid - Montagny's time is misleading - he actually ran 4/10th's quicker than Sato in FP3 - a wise replacement for the inexperienced Ide.
