Jason Plato has won the third of yesterday's three Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship rounds at the Oulton Park circuit in Cheshire.
Plato took the lead from SEAT team-mate James Thompson four laps into the race and from there was never headed, setting the race's fastest lap en route to his second win of the season. Thompson followed him home in second.
Third was Vauxhall's Tom Chilton who had started from pole position and led the opening lap before running wide and allowing both SEAT drivers to nip past.
In the title race, points leader Matt Neal was eighth in his Team Halfords Honda. As a result, he now holds a 14-point lead over new second-placed driver Thompson.
Plato is up to third, just one point behind Thompson. Team RAC's Colin Turkington, who finished the race in sixth, has dropped from second to fourth, three points behind Plato.
