"This weekend was tough for me as I got food poisoning in the week leading up to the race. I was given the all clear to race by the GP2 doctor but still felt rough throughout the weekend.I qualified 23rd and pitted straight away on lap 2 with Villa pitting just behind me, his stop was faster than mine and we swapped places in the pits unfortunately. It took me a while to get into a rhythm which allowed Villa to pull away 9 seconds from me. Once I found my rhythm I quickly pulled those 9 seconds back and was right on his gear box although I simply could not find the opportunity to pass so I had to settle for 16th place. That race was quite hot and I was very dehydrated so I was looking forward to feeling better for race 2.I started race 2 from 15th position and by the end of the first lap was up to 13th until Carroll made a move on me into turn 1, we both out braked ourselves slightly and I locked the front right wheel very badly. The flat spot made the car almost impossible to drive so two laps later I pitted to have the wheel changed. From then on I was in my own race, finishing 19th.My laps times were consistent and not too far off Giorgio's which was encouraging. More good mileage and experience under my belt.I am really looking forward to Monaco, I know Giorgio has a bit of experience there so I will be talking with him in great detail about the circuit. Will it suit my driving style? I have no idea, there is only one way to find out!
