at Lausitzring
Swiss team, Maurer Motorsport took double race honours at the Lausitzring, Germany yesterday with one of its RML built Chevrolet Lacetti S2000’s. Vincent Radermecker had a perfect weekend with pole position, fastest lap and the race win in rounds 3 and 4 of the German ADAC Procar championship. The team’s second RML built Lacetti driven by Rainer Bastuck also had a successful event taking 3rd place in both races.
Starting race one from pole position Radermecker made a good start and led the race to the flag. Bastuck in the second Lacetti started from 2nd on the grid and also drove a good race, only conceding one place, to cross the line in 3rd position. Race two proved equally successful for both drivers with Radermecker taking a consecutive lights to flag victory and Bastuck again claiming the final podium slot in 3rd place after a hard fought battle that saw him just miss out on 2nd place.
Radermecker now leads the Driver’s championship with a two point lead and Maurer Motorsport lie 2nd in the Teams standings, only three points behind the leader. The ADAC Procar Championship takes place throughout Germany and other manufacturers represented are Toyota, BMW and Honda.
