Le Mans: The new Audi R10 TDI will complete its first test laps on the "Circuit des 24 Heures” at Le Mans (France) next Sunday. The official test day represents the only testing opportunity on the circuit which is formed partly by closed public roads. All six Audi "factory” drivers will be in action during the test scheduled from 0900 hrs to 1300 hrs and 1400 hrs to 1800 hrs. Among them numbers Le Mans record winner and DTM leader Tom Kristensen. Following the test day, the two Audi R10 TDI prototypes will remain at Le Mans where they will be prepared for the race on 17/18 June. Thed Björk defends Championship lead

STCC: With a third-place finish at Karlskoga (Sweden), Audi driver Thed Björk defended his lead in the Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC). After winning the opening round of the season, Björk’s Audi A4 STCC had to carry 60 kg of handicap weight. Tenth in Qualifying, the Swede narrowly missed the Top 8 single-car Qualifying. In the race, he was able to fight his way through the field up to third position. His team-mate Fredrik Ekblom was less lucky: He had to serve a drive-through penalty after a pit-stop infringement.News from the Audi brand group First points for Lamborghini team

FIA-GT: In the second round of the FIA GT Championship at Brno (Czech Republic), the series of bad luck ended for the B-Racing RS Line team which runs a private Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT. After three hours on the demanding track, Christophe Bouchut, Peter Kox and Norbert Walchhofer finished seventh overall collecting the first points of the year for the Italian GT1 sportscar.
