Bonanomi sets an early pace in the cold and wet Spa
Cold and damp in Spa Francorchamps for the first Euroseries 3000 practice. Fourteen B02/50 cars hit the track this morning, with Marco Bonanomi (Fisichella Motorsport) notching up the best lap in 2'09"104.
He was followed by Avelon's Oliver Martini, second in 2'10"275, whilechampionship leader Giacomo Ricci closed the top three, in front of team-mate Paolo Nocera.
Bonanomi progressively cut laptimes through the session, with the track getting less wet.
First taste of the championship for both new Astromega drivers, Tuka Rocha (present in the first races) and Jason Thainci (debuting in the series, and usually racing in the GP2 championship).
The duo took no risks trying to get known with the team and cars.
