The 2006 NASCAR Busch Series just keep on rolling and the 19th round of the mammoth series takes the drivers and teams north to the Windy City, Chicago and the Chicagoland Speedway. The circuit is a 1.5 mile tri-oval and construction began in 1999, following a difficult gestation period, while local industry tried to find the right set of circumstances for a raceway in the country’s third largest car market. Jimmie Johnson took the first Busch series race win there in 2001 and in July, fans and viewers will be keen to see who adds Chicagoland to their CV. Motors TV will be showing the entire race live, with unparalleled spectacle and action.

Le Mans revisited
This year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans was a true classic; the first time the race was won by a diesel-powered car and the first for Motors TV, broadcasting the entire race and build-up live, a monumental feat. The channel has received a huge amount of critical acclaim and now shows highlights of this year’s race, run under blazing sunshine on the most famous motor racing circuit in the world, the Circuit des 24 Heures in La Sarthe.

Party in the park
After a visit to the street circuit in the French town of Pau, the British GT Championship heads to Ireland, for the fourth round at Mondello Park. The GT2 category rejoins the GTC and GT3 classes that raced at Pau and Le Mans GT2 winner Tom Kimber-Smith will be keen to add more wins to his 2006 tally in the Panoz Esperante. Motors TV will be showing the highlights of both of the 60-minute races from the Irish circuit.

Champs, the lot of ‘em
The Champ Car World Series heads north of the border this week, for the first of three forays into Canada, heading firstly for Toronto. The two previous rounds saw back to back wins for AJ Allmendinger, with the second coming from an action-packed race in Cleveland, which resulted in series leader Sebastien Bourdais crashing and being taken to hospital for a check-up. The result pushes Allmendinger up to third in the overall standings, behind Brit Justin Wilson and Bourdais, who maintains the lead. The 1.7-mile street circuit will see the racers hit almost 200mph on the seventh gear straight and Motors TV will be showing all the action from the race.

Hello, Super Moto
The British SuperMoto championship kicked off recently and the second and third rounds took place at Lydden Hill, one of the UK’s premier RallyCross circuits. The first round, at Cadwell Park was plagued with torrential rain but the second and third rounds fared better and the action was as hot as the weather. Motors TV shows the highlights of the races from Saturday and Sunday.

Touring the line
The fifth round of the 2006 British Touring Car Championship takes the teams north to the Croft circuit, where they will find plenty of opportunities to overtake. The fourth round of the series saw SEAT’s Darren Turner make an impressive debut to the season, in place of James Thompson, with a pair of third places. However, Thompson will return to the UK after his World Touring Car outings, with a view to climbing up the leader-board from fourth. Ahead of him is team-mate Jason Plato, with Matt Neal and Colin Turkington heading the points. As usual, Motors TV will be showing all three BTCC races live, along with the support races.

Lords of the ‘Ring
On a weekend packed with action, Motors TV has highlights of the third round of the 2006 Le Mans Series, the 1000km of the Nürburgring. After racing in Istanbul and Spa, the Pescarolo team leads the tables, having won both rounds, while the Lister team and Swiss Spirit are joint second, with a second place apiece. The race offers an exceptional prospect – 1000kms (195 laps) or six hours of racing on the new Nürburgring circuit, where unexpected and inclement weather can often play a major part in the outcome of a race. Motors TV will be showing highlights of the action from the third round.
