Misano – Race 1
Pastor Maldonado (Draco Multiracing USA) was disqualified from the first race in Misano due the technical non-compliance of his Formula Renault 3.5. The Venezuelan's forfeits the win, which goes instead to Sebastian Vettel (Carlin Motorsport) in his first ever World Series race!
At the end of the race, the Scrutineers found that Pastor Maldonado's single-seater was missing camber adjustment shims, the presence of which is mandatory on the Formula Renault 3.5 cars.
The Stewards have therefore disqualified the driver from the race. The Draco Multiracing USA team has lodged an appeal against the decision, which deprives Maldonado of both his race win and the fastest race lap.
