Registration Open for Labor Day Celebration at Mandalay Bay

Hotel registration and ticket information for the 2006 Champions Banquet for the Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve—which will be held Labor Day Monday, September 4, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas—is now available.

This year’s celebration has been conveniently scheduled for two days after the season-ending Discount Tire SunChaser 9-Hour at the brand-new Miller Motorsports Park near Salt Lake City, Utah, that will be held Saturday, September 2.  The evening begins with a champagne reception at 6 p.m. followed by a sit-down dinner at 7 p.m. Awards honoring the top drivers, teams and manufacturers in the Daytona Prototype and GT classes will be presented throughout the evening.

The resort also features Mandalay Beach as well as the $40 million Shark Reef, which is home to more than 100 species of animals.

Accommodations at Mandalay Bay and seating at the Champions Banquet are limited.  Tickets for the Rolex Champions Banquet are $150 apiece and tables of 10 may be ordered. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, August 11 at which point all orders must be received in the Grand American office.  Please note that no refunds or cancellations will be received after this date.
