Skip Barber Schedules Special Laguna Seca Test Day for Monterey Historic Racers
Fully coached lapping day in Formula Dodges is August 7
Skip Barber Racing today announced that it is offering a special August 7 test day at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for the vintage competitors in the upcoming Monterey Historics (Aug. 18-20). The Lapping Session will run from noon to 5:00 p.m. and will be conducted in the 150hp, Hewland gearbox Formula Dodge. The session will be capped at 14 seats.
“This is a perfect opportunity for the vintage racers to learn the best line and the optimum braking and turn-in points,” said Skip Barber Regional Chief Instructor Randy Buck. “It’s a real efficient way to get a serious amount of fully coached seat time before the big vintage races. And we can teach drivers the ‘secrets’ of Laguna.”
Participants will receive approximately 80 miles of track time. Skip Barber instructors and coaches deeply familiar with Laguna Seca will be stationed at all the important corners to provide individual feedback to every driver following each track session.
