GT Sport announces the final results of the Portugal GT Open following further scrutineering and confirmation of stewards’ decisions

GT Sport has announced that the results of the two races of the Portugal GT Open, held in Estoril last 24-25 June, are now definitive, following further standard scrutineering undertaken on some vehicles of the GTA+GTS category and the validation of the decisions taken by the meeting’s Stewards after the GTB+GTC race.

More specifically:

GTA + GTS Category:Alter the race, the Stewards decided to undertake further standard scrutineering (engine capacity, restrictor dimensions and weight) on the following three cars:

- Escudería Bengala Mosler MT900 R # 2 (Lucas Guerrero-José Manuel Pérez Aicart)- Motor Competición Mosler MT90R # 7 (Francesc Gutiérrez-Luis Villalba)- Playteam SaraFree Ferrari 430 # 36 (Michele Bartyan-Alessandro Pier Guidi)The three cars have been found in full compliance with the technical regulations of the Series. The results of the Portugal GT Open races are therefore definitive.

GTB + GTC Category:In the evening of Sunday 25 June, the meeting’s Stewards had decided to sanction the following two cars with the exclusion from the meeting as a consequence of the race incident occurred in race 2:- Santiago García Porsche 996 Cup #61 (Santiago García – Antonio Castro)- Sande e Castro Porsche 996 Cup # 62 (José Vaz Guedes – Francisco Cruz)Entrant Sande e Castro has now decided to withdraw its appeal to the Stewards’ decision. As a consequence, the following are the final results of the two races in the GTB+GTC category.
