Mike Jordan will continue his campaign in the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at his home track of Donington Park circuit in Leicestershire this weekend (29/30 July).Having already finished on the podium twice this season, including winning at Mondello Park, Jordan is determined to be challenging for a podium finish in the John Guest-supported Honda Integra."Donington is absolutely one of my favourite tracks," says Jordan without a moment of hesitation. "It's been a good circuit for me; one of the best, and I love going there to race."That love affair with Donington goes back to the very early days of Mike's racing. If anyone had the time to check back in the records, they'd probably find him winning here in every championship he has contested. "It's our local track and so we do a lot of testing here with cars that Team Eurotech runs for customers. I also tried the Honda here at the start of the year, but it was very cold and it was struggle even getting some temperature into the front tyres!"That shouldn't be a problem next weekend, as the BTCC hits Donington. After some fabulous weekends as well as a couple of trying weekends in his 2006 BTCC campaign, Jordan is determined to make this a good one at his home track.The final race of the day at Croft last time out showed that the pace and fire is there. Now all it needs is for a clear run on race day at Donington for Team Eurotech to repeat the form that put Mike on the top of the podium at Mondello Park!"I'm really revved up about racing at Donington. I'm definitely aiming for the podium and I will be very disappointed if this isn’t one of our strongest race meetings of the season."Sunday's BTCC action will have excellent TV coverage. On ITV1, an extensive programme on Sunday afternoon will carry the third race of the day live along with highlights from the opening two races. Meanwhile, the Motors TV channel will carry live coverage from Donington Park throughout Sunday's racing, starting at mid-day.
