A touch of the hard stuff
The British Touring Car Championship returns to what many regard as its spiritual home this week; Donington in the Midlands. The circuit has been the scene of some of the most frantic BTCC action in the past, including Matt Neal’s historic privateer outright win, netting him a cheque for £250,000. Donington combines fast sections requiring commitment from the drivers, as well as slower ones, where overtaking is rife. Motors TV will be showing all three BTCC races live, as well as the support races.

Sugo wrestling
The Japanese Super GT series is four rounds old and the next takes the teams to the Sugo circuit. Heading the GT500 class are Daisuke Ito and Ralph Firman in their Honda NSX, after a well-deserved win at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia, where both their cool suits failed to work in the sweltering heat. The pairing also set the second fastest time at the official test at Sugo earlier in the year, so should be optimistic for another win. Motors TV has the race live for all the thrills of this exceptional series.

A classic year
For lovers of historic cars and motorsport, the Le Mans Classic is one of the year’s highlights. Running on the same 13.5Km circuit as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, six different classes of race cars, from the 1920s onwards, each take part in three races over the course of 24 hours, running from 4pm on Saturday to 4pm on Sunday. Anything from a 1926 Bentley 3-litre to a 1974 Chevron B26 took to the circuit and Motors TV has highlights of this incredible weekend of motorsport.

Do they know the way?
The turbocharged Champ Car World Series heads for California and the street circuit at San Jose for the ninth round this week. More than 3.5 miles of concrete barriers and 4000 tyres will be used to form the temporary circuit and construction will take almost three weeks. Title leader Sebastien Bourdais is the king of San Jose, having won the race from pole in 2005 but AJ Allmendinger is catching up, off the back of a hat-trick of race wins. Motors TV has highlights of the ninth round.

The sixth round of the Maxxis World Enduro Championship takes the riders and teams to the USA, for three laps of the 70km circuit at Hancock in New Jersey. This event is one week after the Canadian round and the two back-to-back races form the first visit for the championship to North America.
